A Group of Many Options

There is something to be said about any cookware set that gives you all of the tools. While useful, some premium sets only come with a couple pieces of equipment and leave you short-handed during dinner. In contrast, the Emeril Pro-Clad set comes with 12 pieces. You get an 8-inch frying pan, 10-inch frying pan, 1.5-quart covered saucepan, 2.5-quart covered saucepan, 3-quart covered sauté pan, 6-quart covered Dutch oven, streamer insert and splatter screen.

That impressive spread provides you with a lot of versatility you don’t get with similar sets. Being able to go small or big depending on the situation is a great bonus for all cooks, regardless of how often they find themselves behind a stove.

A Well-Built Collection

All good cookware sets are made to last. The Emeril Pro-Clad follows that rule through its unique tri-ply stainless steel construction. That special material, as the name suggests, utilizes three distinct layers for maximum durability. The three layers consist of a thick aluminum core bonded between two layers of stainless steel. The pans use that reinforcement to create a strong surface that resists scratches, dents and dings.

As a bonus, the entire set is oven safe up to 550 degrees Fahrenheit and comes with a lifetime warranty covering any defects. That means your purchase is fully protected when you take it out of the box. Few companies show that much faith in their product.

Heat, All the Way Through

This set’s stainless-steel construction mainly exists to provide extra durability. However, it also gives great, even heating across every pot and pan.

Even heating is not something many people consider when buying a new cookware set, but it goes a long way. Being able to cook all of your food cohesively not only increases taste and quality, but it also makes you cooking that much easier.

The metal also heats up in no time. You don’t spend a lot of time waiting around with this set, which saves you time and keeps your meal moving along. Turn on the heat, chop up a few vegetables and everything is ready to go.

Amazing Accessories

All of the pieces in the set come with durable stainless steel handles. The pieces are riveted directly onto the bodies in a way that feels sturdy and safe. That construction makes them easy to use without compromising feel. Each handle is quite comfortable and stays cool no matter how hot your pans get. There is nothing worse than burning yourself while trying to juggle a busy stove, but with this handy feature ensures that will never happen to you.

Emeril also equipped the set with tempered glass lids. Their see-through tops allow you to easily monitor your cooking without ruining the temperature inside the pans.

Each lid is oven safe up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit as well. Though that could be a bit higher, it’s more than enough to finish off most meals.

Simple Cooking, Simple Clean Up

This group is also quite easy to maintain. There is nothing worse than making a big meal and spending as much time over the sink as you did cooking the food.

All residue slides off Emeril’s pans with a little to no work. Though some burnt pieces will stick on from time to time, it requires minimal effort to work them off. As long as you follow the instructions by mainly using the pans over medium heat you will have no problems. If you see any discoloration, which is normal with extended use, a quick soak in a solution of vinegar and warm water will clear it right up.

Every piece in the set is dishwasher safe as well. Though you should always wash your pots by hand (it helps keep their shine), there is nothing wrong with tossing them in the dishwasher every now and then.

Checking the Fine Print

Before we finish our discussion on the Emeril Pro-Clad Cookware Set, it is important to go over a few minor features that help take it from good to great. One such aspect is the flared rims. Though easy to overlook, these are a boon to any cook because they allow for easy pouring and reduce drips. That keeps your kitchen and cooking space much cleaner.

Complementing the flared rims is the included splatter screen, which also works to prevent spills or drips. It’s especially fantastic for people who like to cook sauces or work with oily foods like bacon.

Finally, though many people only analyze cookware for its abilities, looks matter. You want a kitchen set that really stands out regardless if it’s on the table or stove. This is yet another area where the Emeril cookware knocks it out of the park. Every piece in this set screams premium quality. The polished exteriors perfectly complement the brushed steel interiors to create a seamless appearance all the way through.

High Quality, Affordable Price

The Emeril Pro-Clad Set is the definition of all-around cookware. It hits on every level, combining premium aspects and excellent features inside a sleek, attractive package. The equipment is durable, feels great and is easy to use. Add on all of the bonuses, such as the cool touch handles, even-heating plus see-through lids, and you couldn’t ask for much more. Perfect for people who want a more professional set that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.

  1. I have a 15-year-old Emeril Pro-Clad sauce pan. I am a single adult male who doesn’t do a lot of cooking and who has never abused my sauce pan with steel wool or other abrasives except a scrubber sponge.
The “stainless steel” finish has worn through on the inside base of the pan. I suspect that this has been occurring gradually for many years and that I have been consuming fine particles of the finish for many years.
I now have leukemia and I think you people are responsible for my cancer.
Am I the only person who has suffered this demise? I doubt it. It would seem that legal action is appropriate, probably a class action.
