Clarissa León is a food writer and investigative researcher based in Queens, NY. She was blessed with Colombian parents who not only knew how to cook delicious Colombian and French-inspired meals (thank you Julia Child), but also urged her and her siblings to cook at an early age. Originally from Reno, Nev, she finally took the plunge and moved to New York in 2010 to pursue a career in investigative journalism focusing on food issues.
